The aquarium water polishing filter pad is constructed of durable woven polyester fibers for exceptional strength. At only 1/8 inch thick, this powerful pad clears water fast by truly trapping extra fine particles that pass through mechanical filter pads. For even more clear water, it can be placed after the FilterFirst filter pad.
Since filter pads need to be replaced regularly, a cardboard template can be made from the existing filter. Using a sharp pair of scissors, the aquarium water polisher pad can be easily cut to the desired shape and size. The easy-cut bulk rolls also save money.
Polishing Pads are ideal for canister filters, HOB filters, wet/dry, and sump filters for aquariums. This filter media pad works perfectly in a reef tank, tropical aquariums, African cichlid tanks, live planted tanks, amphibian tanks, shrimp tanks, and even goldfish tanks.
Compared to other filtration products from Aquatic Experts, the Water Polishing Pad is a mechanical filtration solution that traps extremely fine particles, providing sparkling clear water. It has a 1-layer polyester construction and is made in the USA, allowing it to be cut to fit any filter.
The FilterFirst Pad, on the other hand, is a 2-layer mechanical filtration solution for coarse and fine particles. The Activated Granular Carbon provides chemical filtration, while the Carbon Infused Pad combines mechanical and chemical filtration.
The Water Conditioner is a chemical filtration product, and the ClassicBlue Pad is a mechanical filtration solution. The Biolodge is a biological filtration media made of igneous rock.
