The 300W model is suitable for 55 – 75 gallon tanks.
The Cascade Aquarium Heaters feature a visible and accurate temperature scale, displaying the adjustments in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. To increase the temperature, users simply rotate the control knob counter-clockwise, and to decrease, they rotate it clockwise. Alternatively, they can follow the + and – symbols located near the control knob.
These heaters also include an orange pilot light, which indicates the heating cycle status. The light will turn on and off as the thermostat cycles the heating element, letting users know when the heater is active. Additionally, the aquarium heaters make a faint click when they turn off.
In terms of additional features, the Cascade Heat Aquarium Heaters are composed of heavy-duty, shock-resistant glass, allowing them to be fully submersible and placed either horizontally or vertically. They also feature a built-in minimum water level indicator at the top, colored in red, to ensure safe operation.
It's important to note that users should not operate the heater outside of the aquarium, and they should never submerge a hot heater into the water. After placing the heater into the aquarium, users should wait 15 minutes before turning it on, allowing the thermostat to adjust to the water temperature.
